It's time again for a 106 West Open Mic Contest to showcase original songs by all you wonderful players and singers out there ! These open mics have been a lot of fun and pretty amazing in the past as players and singers of all ages from all walks of live come to share their original acoustic songs.
Players and singers are asked to prepare three original acoustic songs for performance; Each act

Great News ! Good Morning Madison is returning to the 106 West stage Saturday Night, Oct. 27th !!! Zellis, a new band to our stage will also be there along with singer-songwriter Justin Blackstock !! Wear a costume for extra fun but make sure that you can move to the beat in it as Zellis's drivin' psychedelic rock and Good Morning Madison's indie alternative pop punk originals will have you on your feet ! As a part of the day-long celebration 106 West will be bringing some
wonderful musical entertainment to the indoor and outdoor stages and
we are hoping to see you there !.
Performers include some of our very young singers (Jessica Still and
Carly Baker) and our children's instructor, Amber Padgett who will all
Starting at 5pm, Friday, December 7th and ending at 11:15pm, Sat.,
Dec. 8th, Orange Sneakers and 106 West will be hosting a weekend of
fun, film and music. There will be critically acclaimed documentary
films, hard hitting intellectual and philosophical discussions and
creative-thinking exercises. The theme is Media, Money and the
Production of Meaning and it promises to be an event to remember.
This annual show will feature members of the 106 West family - perfomers and students - singing and speaking (via poetry and theatre) Christmas favorites. 106 West is delighted to announce that Sarah Tollerson and her band The Big Fantastic will again grace our stage on Saturday night, January 12th ! Sarah, who grew up on the 106 West stage, and her band last played 106 West in August when they released their cd, Keeping Old Love Letters to a packed house !!
