About Our Instructors

Ryan Moore, Guitar Instructor, has just received his master's degree in classical guitar studying with the esteemed John Sutherland (student of Andres Segovia, "the master of the classical guitar"). Ryan is an adjunct guitar professor at Truett-McConnell College. At 106 West, he teaches all styles of guitar. Ryan performs in the four piece band Brothers, an alternative rock band with an emphasis on classical guitar. 

Thom Tollerson, Principal Instructor and Director of 106 West, who years ago was fortunate to learn to be a better guitarist from John Sutherland, also studied with, among others, the legendary Pop Warner for vocal technique and jazz guitar great Bob Dorr for chord soloing.  Thom has played with such luminaries as John Denver,  Peter Yarrow,  Bob Shane, David Bromberg, Rick Price, Deborah McColl,  John Fahey, Leslie West, and Weird Al Yankovic, among other great players.
