If you've always wanted to be a movie star or just learn more about acting, take the first step today by enrolling in the Acting for Film Workshop at 106 West Performing Arts Venue in Winder.
The six-week session will be begin on September 8th and will be held on Tuesday nights at 6:45 p.m..
Dick Mays, who has written, acted and directed and produced short films, and has acted and directed with Winder-Barrow Community Theatre is teaching the acting workshop.

It's THAT TIME again !!
Singer-Songwriters, Musicians, Poets, Comedians, and Actors come on out to share your original songs, poetry, or comedy in front of a live audience.
The 106 West Open Mic is a great place to perform - whether it be your first time on stage or you are a seasoned performer.
Musicians are asked to perform two original acoustic original songs up to seven minutes total; your act may have up to three people. Poets, Comedians and actors are asked for a reading or routine of seven minutes or less.
Daws Brothers Studios and Life is My Movie Entertainment will be screening their latest feature film release at 7:00pm July 25th 2009 at 106 West Performance Venue in Winder Ga.
The film, Dangerous Calling, was shot all over Georgia and includes scenes shot in downtown Winder. The July 25th preview will give the audience an opportunity to screen the film and purchase a DVD before the film's national release.
